Die Cast Machine Operator

Benda Tool & Model Works, Inc., is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Die Cast Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating high-pressure die casting machines to produce high-quality aluminium and zinc parts from molten metal, while adhering to all safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on role that requires a commitment to quality, efficiency, and teamwork.

This is a union position and requires union membership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate die casting machines, including startup and shutdown procedures.
• Monitor the die casting process to ensure consistent production and quality.
• Inspect cast parts for visual defects and use quality gauges to ensure specifications are met.
• Load raw materials and remove finished products from the machine.
• Complete all required production paperwork and reports accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all company safety procedures.
• Report any machine problems or unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years hands-on experience in manufacturing, die casting and/or foundry preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
• Ability to follow instructions, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Basic math and computer skills for recordkeeping.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks lift/pull/push up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Shift/Hours:

• Monday – Thursday (10-hour shift)
• First Shift – 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (ability to work OT, mandatory OT and early start (3:00 a.m.) as required/needed by the company
