
Die Casting Production Worker – Entry Level
We have an opportunity for an Entry-Level Production Worker in our Die Casting Department. Training will be provided.
This is a Union position and requires registration for union membership.
Duties and Responsibilities (training will be provided):
- Read and understand work order travelers for production instructions
- Remove gates and overflows as per supervisors instructions
- Inspect cast parts for defect, fill out “In-Process Inspection” documents as required and fill out production sheets with quantities
- Trim castings using trim press according to supervisor’s instructions
- Understand the need to handle all parts with care
- Check and verify dimensions with fixed gauges as required
- Fill and/or empty furnace when required, wearing all necessary PPEs (company provided)
- Supply die cast machine with ingots as needed, using safe handling practices
- Leak test parts as required by supervisor
- Straighten parts as required by supervisor
- Understand the need for proper part identification
Education/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
- Some experience in foundry or machine shop preferred or ability to learn if no experience (training will be provided)
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Highly disciplined, self-motivated, reliable and punctual
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Pushing & pulling up to 50lbs
- Repetitive use of hands and feet required
Shift/Hours:
Monday-Thursday – 10 hour shifts
First shift (5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) – Ability to work OT, mandatory OT and early start (3:00 a.m.) as required/needed by the company

Pay Range: $17.00 – $18.00/hour DOE
